~ Naturally gifted.
~ He lost his father at the age of 16.
~ One of the greatest chemist and inventors.
How It Impacted Us
Today, our world is filled with powered devices that we can plug in anywhere.
In the morning, there is sunlight and in the night people use electricity to do tasks.
The invention of light bulb allows us to work at night, increasing quality and productivity.
The light bulb also allows us to save money on candles/oil for light and it's much safer to use.

The incandescent light was not that bright enough.
The first incandescent light worked because it had a thin piece of platinum that was passing a current.
Platnium was used insted of metal because the melting point of metal was very high.

1904: Holagon Light created by Emmett Wiley & Elmer Fridrish.
1908: Edison Screw is re invented by Edison.
1962: The first LED (Light Emitted Diode) is created by Nick Holonyak Jr.
The first incandescent lightbulb was created in 1802.
In 1810 it was showed to the Royal Institution.
The patent number for Thomas Edison's was Patent No. 223,898.
