What Is CUCM Server ?
Cisco Unified Communications Manager is the heart of Cisco collaboration services, enabling session and call control for video, voice, messaging, mobility, instant messaging (IM), and presence.
The Cisco Unified Communications System incorporates and integrates the following major communications technologies:
IP telephony
Video telephony
Rich-media conferencing
Mobility
As a simple test of configurations we used the two virtual machines as
Users and set an extension for each one and enabled the accounts.
Here we made a call from a user to the smartphone:
Then we added another extension for a smartphone
user in the same network:

we installed a SIP application (C SIP simple) that can be connected
to the server.

2) we enabled the account on the phone.
We add users by choosing the user extension (his number) , display name and
the password used to access this account.
We access asterisk using its IP from any user
Access as admin and add extensions
First we setup the asterisk on the Virtual Box
We setup another PCs as users
We configure asterisk’s IP and gateway
Asterisk is a communication application implanted on
a centos server it includes all the building blocks
needed to create a PBX
And here we are calling another user from the smartphone:
We use X – Lite as our softphone.
Then we enable the accounts on the softphones
We insert the password we chose for the
user.
We put the IP address of the asterisk server
as the domain.
In this example we add an extension with user name reda and ID 100.
Deliver web content that can be accessed through the Internet.
