Transcript of Switzerland is Neutral!

Switzerland The Swiss managed to stay nuetral throughout both world wars. Switzerland was right in the middle of the war, making it extremely difficult to stay neautral. Switzerland's neutrality made them a point of interest to the countries surrounding them. Because switzerland was neutral, it was a safe haven for refugees and revolutionaries. During the World Wars, Switzerland let lots of people open banks accounts at their banks. Out of the 5,000+ foreign bank accounts tracked back to the Nazi Era, about 200 of them were from Nazi victims. swiss franc Most of the money deposited during the world wars was money that was either stolen or deposited from Nazi Victims.
