*The article was meant as a possible future where New York City is made to be a greener and more environmentally sustainable city by designing all future buildings with green roofs. *Green roofs have many possible benefits for New York City buildings. *They reduce heating and cooling costs, require less maintanence than traditional roofs, and help bring native flora and fauna back to urban landscapes. *Inspired by Basel, Switzerland's recent declaraction that all subsequently made buildings would be designed with green roofs.
