2) Symptoms of GID appear later in adulthood and occur more gradually
GID tends to be chronic, but remission has been reported
Treatment

Counseling is the best approach for GID
Hormone therapy
Sex reassignment surgery is also an option (Understanding Abnormal Behavior, 432)
Men versus Female transition
Prognosis
Without treatment
Primary symptoms
Secondary symptoms
With treatment
Early diagnosing is most beneficial
There is no cure
