Summary
Created by the gods, Pandora was the first woman on earth. She was given many gifts by the gods such as clothes, speech, and curiosity. One of the gifts was a box with instructions to never open it.
Because of her curiosity, Pandora was compelled to open the box. When she did, all the evils of the world were spread throughout the Earth.
When she was finally able to close the box, one thing was left: Elpis, the spirit of hope.
People associated with this myth:
Pandora
The gods
Mainly Zeus, Hephaestus,
and Athena.
Elpis
The spirit of hope.
The Lesson of this myth is
to not get too greedy. Pandora
had to know what was in the
box, even though she was told
to never open it.

This can also be stated as "curiosity killed the cat".
