26, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In August 16, 2008, Ellen
married P rtia de Rossi. "Nothing stays holidays,
like a cheese log." The show "Ellen" has won an Emmy award, nearly twelve daytime Emmy awards, and lots of People's Chioce awards. Later in 2004, Ellen won two more Emmy Awards for the show "Ellen DeGeneres: Here and Now". When Ellen was a teenager, her parents (a working mother and an insurance salesman- which was her father) got divorced. Ellen is not only an comedian, but also an actor and author. She began preforming in 1981, first at a local coffeehouse. Ellen has starred in two television sitcoms- "Ellen", from 1994 to 1998, and "The Ellen Show", from 2001 to 2002. Books- Ellen has also written several books, such as My Point... and I Do Have One, in 1995. Ellen dated Anne Heche and Alexandra Hedison before finding Rossi. Family Vance, Ellen's older brother, was the creator of "Mr. Bill" (Play-Doh character). He now runs Steve Carell's production company, Carousel Productions. Cool Fact:
