My usual day
-
Wake up at 5 and get to work by 6
-
Get to work and check on what patients are booked for the day
-
I tell the nurse practitioners to setup any checkups for patients that need them
-
Go to a meeting with other healthcare professionals
-
Then start having the nurse practitioner bring in my patients
-
Then I go help out my patients
-
Take a lunch break
-
Then continue to help patients
-
Then go home at around 5:30
What I am Currently doing
-
I am a 35 year old pediatrician living in Cape Cod, Massachusetts
-
I am living in a small cape house right on the beach
-
I have been working for this job for about 12 years now
-
I have been moving my way up with my pay by first starting out with around making 160k to now making about 180k
-
I am working 5 days a week and 11.5 hours a day
What I do
-
I work with sick patients all day
-
I need to know all medicines that can cure the illness they have
-
I do need to know the right amount of medicine to give the child and need to know how to write out the perscriptions
-
I also need to be teaching others how to treat the illness

I work with all different technology involved with there checkups or recording down important information about the patient

I talk to a lot of people everyday so I need to be very good with my social/communication skills

I work really close to other healthcare professionals to provide children with the right medical care
