5 Steps to Writing Your Best
Extended Essay IB Class of 2014 Select an Essay Category From a Class You Have Completed PRIOR to Your Senior Year This will require less work for your essay
This will insure that you are familiar with the methodology for that class/category
History, English and Environmental Systems and Societies essays tend to do well
Psychology, Film and Human Rights essays tend to do poorly Select a Research Question That
Fits Entirely Within Your Category An EE is an example of form writing
Your paper will not get a good score if you do not conform CAREFULLY to the scoring criteria
Read the scoring criteria early and often Select a Research Question That is Significant, Timely, Novel or Interesting. Your research and writing should be academically valuable
Your work should be insightful, creative and a unique take on your subject Be Sure That There is Enough Information
to Investigate Your Topic If you cannot locate information on your topic you may want to revise your topic.This is crucial and can avoid wasted time. Be Sure That There is Enough Information
