Learning and Wellness Resources: http://valenciacollege.edu/studentservices/sem_studentsuccess.cfm One of the most helpful tips for reducing stress is realizing that there are things you CAN change and things you CANNOT change.
Worrying about things that you cannot change (like other people’s actions or the weather) will just cause frustration.
Focus on the things YOU have power over. A walk-in based tutoring center that provides assistance in the following areas: Valencia offers free tutoring services and support centers on all campuses for help with several different subjects. Visit the Career Center and review books on careers that interest you.
Take free career assessments to find careers that match your personality, interests, values, and skills.
Find majors that relate to your career goals.
Learn about future job demand, salaries and educational requirements for specific careers. No, really we were. Having an end goal is critical to success! The fastest way to raise your GPA is to retake any courses that you previously earned a grade of F or D.
After you re-take a course and earn a C or higher, only the higher grade will be used to calculate your GPA.
For grade forgiveness to be applied it must be the exact prefix and numbering when posted on your Valencia transcript. For Example: an A, B, or C in MGF1106 can replace a D or an F in MGF1106 but not a D or an F in MGF1107.
Be mindful that while Valencia offers unlimited grade forgiveness; most universities limit the number of times grade forgiveness can be used. Academic Warning,
