temperature affects the reaction of hydrogen of hydrogen peroxide and catalase.
See if the temperature affect
the reaction of hydrogen
peroxide and catalase.
Hypothesis
MATERIALS .
5 tubes
200 (ml)Water
2 beakers
5 pieces chicken liver
hot plate
thermometer
50 (ml) hydrogen peroxide
test tube clamp
weigh the chicken liver for each tube.
put 200 (ml) of water in a beaker and heat it on.
put 10 (ml) of hydrogen peroxide in each of 5 tubes.
put to heat 3 tubes in till the temperature is 35oC. ,45oC,60oC.
put in each tube a piece liver using the tweezers.
leave them for 1 minute and see the reaction.
then put another tube on the ice until the temperature is 15oC.
put the liver in the tube using the tweezers.
leave it by 1 minute and see the reaction.
leave the last tube at room temperature .
put the liver into the tube using the tweezers .
leave it by 1 minutes and see the reaction.
make your analysis.
Purpose
If the temperature is warm
then the reaction of hydrogen peroxide
and catalase will go faster.
Procedure
scale
25 graduate cylinder
scissors
hot plate
ice as many possible
tweezers
weigh boat
Tubes Temperature High of bobbles
1 30c 1 and ½ of the tube
2 45c 2/ 3 of the tube
3 60c 2/3 and ½ of 1/3
4 Room temperature 2/3 0f the tube
5 15c 1/3 of the tube

tube number 1 the temperature was 15oC and the high of bobbles was .33 which its to low because its to cool .
tube number 2 the temperature was 22oC and the high of bobbles was .66 which is a little bit low because its not to hot.
tube number 3 the temperature was 30oC and the high of bobbles was 1.5 which its very high because its a little bit hot .
tube number 4 the temperature was 45oC and the high of bobbles was .66 which its a little bit low same as tube number 2 .
tube number 5 the temperature was 60oC and the high of bobbles was . 83 which its a little bit high.
