Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, has become a virtual gold mine for online shopping.
Proof of this is that many online shopping malls are now on expansion mode.
Lazada, Southeast Asia’s largest online shopping website, has just announced that it has raised $250 million from a group of investors including Tesco PLC, Access Industries, Investment AB Kinnevik and Verlinvest.
This marks the first investment by multichannel retailer Tesco into a pure online player in the region. According to Tesco, as South East Asia’s 600 million consumers begin to use smartphone technology to access retailers online, Lazada has established a strong position from which to grow.

Research Problems
This process of selling allows the consumer to know the information of the product through text, photos, and multimedia files.

The purpose of this study is
to determine the impact of online retailing (E-tailing) from CBAA students of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas
. The study aims
to know the behavior of the students of CBAA on how they prefer online stores or traditional retail stores
. The data collection which will be used in this research is the combination of
qualitative and quantitative research
technique that will be based through survey in the University; there will be three hundred (300) respondents from different courses of CBAA to be surveyed. The researchers will evaluate and make an interpretation to the surveyed data to provide a concrete evidence about the behavior of the students of CBAA to online stores (e-tailing) and traditional stores.

The result of this study will magnify the current trend in the market place and also will conclude the future approach of market place medium. This research will inform and guide us on market strategies, profitability, and sales volume.

Research Objectives

• To see which side of selling does the Business Students from DLSUD preferred. (Online Selling vs. Traditional Selling

Online shopping is more accessible than it has ever been in the digital era with the introduction of tablets, smartphones, easy checkout systems and more secure systems. As a result, the e-commerce industry is generating higher sales volume.
CBAA students of De La University – Dasmariñas reacts and behave to these changes. The respondents are the students from first year to fifth year, we chose this demographical pattern because we know in these segment college years we are prone to shopping and buying goods on our own.
It is proposed to begin the survey process in the second week of March. They will begin with unstructured questions that will follow by engagement questions that will emphasize and measure all perspective of the study. It is anticipated that up to 320 students from CBAA should surveyed and any necessary follow-up interviews will be conducted during that academic year through online. In addition, follow-up clarifying interviews will be conducted with at least a dozen of these students during the academic year after we have completed some data analysis and obtained a beginning understanding of the findings.
This research study will use descriptive study that emphasizes all aspect of measurements and interpretation of data that have been gathered


The data that has been gathered will tabulize according to its classifications. Every demographic order is interpreted in a table. Every question in the survey will be under interpretation so that in the result we will see the difference and be easily concluded. The formula below will emphasize the specific frequency and will determine the percentage of each result the survey questionnaires.
The researcher will conduct a study by using online survey and traditional survey (hard copy questionnaires) wherein each of the questions serves to an open discussion or opinion to its respondents.
In choosing the sampling method, the researchers chooses the simple random sampling over the other sampling method, because the research will be done randomly, although the result will be compiled and arranged through gender and section, the reason is to only help the researchers to easily give a conclusion, but still aiming for the right respondents. Although it is mentioned already that, 100 respondents will come through online through the help of surveymonkey.com, same procedure will be applied, it will be arranged according to gender, course.
The result that had been gathered from the survey questionnaires will be tallied by researchers through spreadsheets or Microsoft Excel and will be interpreted into words and presented in a table. The researcher will formulate a interpretation and together the conclusion, findings and recommendations will base on the gathered information’s.
Online Shopping Started on 1979 by English Entrepreneur named Michael Aldrich, His system connected a modified domestic TV to a real-time transaction processing computer via a domestic telephone line. Today the Online Shopping becomes the hot trend of today’s generation because of the different benefits that it gives through the buyers and the sellers. Consumers are more confident about purchasing a product when they have done their own research online.
