This is my first prezi which provides an introduction to integrated white boards; it also was an opportunity for me to get to know my own BrightLight-RMeasiteach System

Stimulate your interest in using the your personal classroom IWB GOALS An interactive whiteboard (IWB), is a large interactive display that connects to a computer and projector.

A projector projects the computer's desktop onto the board's surface.

Users control the computer using a pen, finger, stylus, or other device.

The board is typically mounted to a wall or floor stand. However, hand held and other devices can also provide IWB functionality. Run software that is loaded onto the connected PC.
Operate web browsers, internet based videos, other programs.
Capture notes/graphics written on a whiteboard or tablet, and save to PC for later use.
Control the PC from the white board using click 'n drag
markup, etc.
Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software
Use an Audience Response System (ARS) to poll a
classroom audience or conduct quizzes. USES Durability
Promotes Audience Attention/Collaboration/Teamwork
Cost Effective (supply reduction)
Budget Sensitive (~ $3,000 - $8,000 complete)
Offers Learner Style Flexibility

Projector with Pen –
Epson BrightLink 450Wi - the BrightLink 450Wi provides open compatibility with virtually any interactive software program, allowing educators to incorporate creative and engaging content from eTextbooks, multimedia online content and more into their curricula without added expense.
Wall mounted - over the white board My System Computer –
Initial Set Up: Laptop interfaced with the BrightLink system with wireless printer capability. Since we had to unhook the laptop nightly to secure in a locked cabinet, we experienced connectivity issues due to bent prongs on the projector’s connection cable to the computer after 3 months.

Alternate Set Up: Replaced the lap top with a desktop system which reduced set up time and hardware/accessory maintenance risks. My System RMeasiteach Software:
This whiteboard software system from RM Education is designed to help the user create and deliver engaging lessons in the classroom. My System Cool Technique TYPES Various tools, widgets, and ready

Software Calibration Care & Precautions

Use the pens and eraser recommended by the manufacturer.

Remove all alternate devices to avoid mix up.

Set up computer systems to update automatically along with other software

To wash the board, use ammonia-free Windex or Expo Dry Erase Cleaner.

Punctures, dents and other damage to surfaces are also a risk.
The educator/teacher must …Focus on the right contentExplore and try new toolsMake time to experimentTransform classrooms into collaborative incubators of learningEncourage and motivate students with differentiated toolsInspire and empower youth to use new technologies
Free, web-based educational networks provide great forums for teachers to share new ideas and applications with one another.

Social Sciences:

http://chompchomp.com/exercises.htm#Word_Choice RESOURCES Interactive Whiteboards and auxiliary widgets offer creative options for the teacher to enhance curriculum delivery. IWB hardware and software providers have developed instructional resources for teachers to learn this new technology quickly. Teachers are critical “change agents”
in the education & technology
integration process. SUMMARY The educator/teacher must …
Focus on the right content
Explore and try new tools
Make time to experiment
Transform classrooms into collaborative incubators of learning
Encourage and motivate students with differentiated tools
Inspire and empower youth to use new technologies The educator/administrator of educational delivery organizations must:

Use new technology in professional development forums;
Use the systems in routine, day to day administrative activities and communications forums (Walk the Talk);
Recognize teachers for innovative application of technology (intrinsic motivation)
Add technology applications to performance measurement systems (extrinsic motivation) . More Goodies Artsy Exciting Mike Camden, Interactive White Board, PowerPoint Presentation, 1/13
