The royal family is a tradition of British society that has become so iconic that it is almost necessary, and it's actions in the British government are very effective for the British people.

Current queen of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland under a constitutional monarchy.
Born April 21st, 1926, in London. Daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
Has four children (in age order): Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward

Prince of Wales and will inherit the throne once Queen Elizabeth II abdicates or passes away.

Royal Wedding and Birth
Having his every tantrum documented by the press and his progress in nursery school reported and speculated about, Prince William has spent his entire life in the spotlight because of his position to the royal throne.
When his mother, Princess Diana, passed away in 1997, he maintained a normal mien to present the royal image.
Upon becoming an adult at age 18, the press considered him more open to media scrutiny as he excelled in his studies and grew as an adult.

When Prince William started dating Kate Middleton in 2005, reporters immediately pressed him as to if they would marry.
He proposed to Kate in October of 2010 and they were married at Westminster Abby in April, 2011 to a spectating crowd of 2 billion people
Once they were married, press speculated about when they would start a family, and Prince George of Cambridge was born on July 22, 2013.
