What are Pre-Workout Supplements?
Pre -work out supplements are intended to give you more energy during your workouts thus giving more longevity during training.
Ingredients: Pre - Workout
Creatine Monohydrate or Creatine is an amino acid is typically in powder form that you can mix with a liquid
Creates rapid energy and provides as a great supplement to gain size fast
It is most effective with high intensity training
Game Time and Caratine
Ingredients: Pre - Workout
Prior to exercise BCAA’s have shown to reduce protein dehydration, which consequently aids in a quicker recovery time.
BCAA’s may also lead to a higher mental acuity thus improving in all-out running performance and allowing an individual to run longer and harder
L-arginine is a nitric oxide stimulator, which increases muscular strength and endurance during a workout.
L-arginine is an amino acid pre-workout supplement for people who often participate in resistance training exercises.
Ingredients: Pre-Workout
As a mild stimulant caffeine specifically targets the CNS and enhances human neuromuscular performance.
Block pain receptors, increases the speed of neuromuscular transmission, and the ability to contract skeletal muscles.
The Experiment
What are Post-Workout Supplements?
Ingredients: Post-Workout
BCAA are abundant and catabolized in the skeletal muscle, and they help to inhibit protein breakdown and enhances protein synthesis
BCAA are well known in bodybuilding and other sports requiring growth of strong muscle tissue
They cannot be synthesized by the body
Ingredients: Post-Workout
L- Glutamine is a naturally occurring non-essential amino acid that is commonly stored in muscles and relased into blood stream
L- Glutamine is used by the immune system during times of stress
Athletes who take glutamine supplements do so in order to prevent muscles breakdown and to improve immue system functioning
Post workout nutrition provides essential and non-essential components for protein synthesis in order to repair muscle tissue and prevent muscle tissue breakdown, better known as catabolism.
Ingredients: Post-Workout
L-Alanine is a critical player in the body's protein bio synthesis and has certain regulatory functionality.
Non-essential amino acid that many athletes use to supplement their daily diets
L- Alanine allows for faster and more effective supply of energy is needed so that the body can perform longer at increased levels of intensity.
Ingredients: Post-Workout
Chronic supplementation with creatine monohydrate has been shown to promote increases in intramucular total creatine, phosphocreatine, skeletal muscle mass, lean body mass and muscle fiber size.
When looking at body composition and strength, consuming creatine immediately post workout is superior to pre-workout
