Where do obstetricians work?

What/Who is an Obstetrician?
A medical doctor who specializes in the care of pregnant women.
They take care of you from the time of conception through to childbirth and the postnatal period.
Most Obstetricians are also Gynecologists (Refers to the specialty of disorders of the female reproductive system.
What are the duties of an
Monitor the condition of both mothers and unborn babies.
Manage the delivery process and care for the mother and baby after delivery
Diagnose, identify and treat pregnancy.
Keep track of the patient's health during the entire pregnancy period.
Counsel women on birth control methods, and other diseases such as Cervical and breast cancer, etc.
Analyze and interpret diagnostic images such as X-rays and other medical data/
Perform cesarean sections and many other surgical procedures to make sure the safe delivery of the baby.
Explain all the pregnancy-related tests and discuss the results which requires good communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Healthcare organizations (Clinics and hospitals)
The military force (overseas)
Schools (Universities and colleges they help to train students)
some own their own private practises.

An experienced and well-known Obstetrician earns as much as $170 on an hourly basis.
The average annual salary of an Obstetrician is around $200,000,
The lower range comes to around $100,000,
An experienced Obstetrician earns as high as $350,000 per year.
Salaries vary according to experience, location, and employer, just the same way it does for all other fields. Obstetricians also get paid on service (Per patient).

WHAT ARE THE Current demands for THE JOB OF AN OBSTETRICIAN LIKE?
There are volunteer opportunities in this occupation. Some of the requirements for the volunteer work are:
Immunization must be up to date (some important vaccines that must be taken are, TB testing, Measles, Mumps and Rubella).
A police record check will also be needed in order to volunteer.
Depending on the location of the volunteer work a resume and cover letter might be needed.

Admission requirements for
At least 3 years of study towards a Canadian university bachelor's degree in any discipline (equivalent of 15 credits).
Minimum GPA of 3.6 / 4.0 on the OMSAS scale.
Minimum MCAT scores of 9 in each of the three sections. The writing sample score will not be used in this cycle.
Applicants educated outside of Canada must complete the equivalent of a Canadian four-year university bachelor's degree.
