Who was Princess Diana?
Born Diana Spencer in Sandringham, United Kingdom on July 1st 1961 into an Aristocratic family.
Baptized at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham
Anglican Christian
Her father became the 8th Earl of Spencer. She gained title of Lady Diana
Parents divorced in 1969
Raised in Park House by father
Family closely allied with the Royal Family for generations
Married Prince Charles (heir to British throne) on July 29 1981.
Gave birth to Prince William on June 21st 1982
Gave Birth to Prince Harry on September 15, 1984
Finalized divorce on August 28 1996
Lost title 'her Royal Highness'
Died on August 31st 1997, at age 36, in car crash in Paris
Actions Taken
“HIV does not make people dangerous to know. You can shake their hands and give them hug heaven knows they need it”
In 1987, was the famous person to be seen touching someone with HIV. This ended the myth that HIV was contagious
Diana worked closely with a Charity called CentrePoint. Prince William now plays active role in charity.
