FORMAL qualifications In this prezi you will learn about the following words: Term of office , Election of office, succession,Salary and benefits, presidential background, personal qualifications, and electoral college. Formal Age : You have to be at least 35 years of age and have lived in America for at least 14 years and a natural born american citizen. You are able to have up to not more than 2 terms which are 4 years a piece , after that you cannot run again. there are other ways you can get out of office besides not winning the election and that is called IMPEACHED. Term of office The ability to vote for your leader to represent the people and giving them the right to represent the country. You are elected after you win in a vote between two candidates. Election of office The idea / procedure of replacing the vice president or president in the event of a uncontrollable circumstance i.e Death, or some other form of removal. The Vice president would replace the president , however the congress have the ability to change that. Succession The current salary of the president is Salary is $400,000 a year plus a $50,000 expense account, a $100,000 nontaxable travel account, and $19,000 for entertainment.So $569,000 with limitations on how $169,000 of it can be spent. Salary & Benefits. For many a year there has been several similar qualities amongst those whom have ran in office, they typically are mid ages affluent white men with education. they have some religious back ground , 3|4 have some military background, and or have served as some governor.
Presidential Background You cannot become a president through a formal application. You have o sort of win over the people by persuasion , while their backgrounds prove to be important many are looking at appealing qualities and personality between them and the candidate a sort of relating factor. Personal Qualities The Electoral College is a process, not a place. The founding fathers established it in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens. The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. Your state’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for your Senators.
