Mathmeticians, Astronomers, and Geographers of all

time. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt and lived

from 90 A.D - 168 A.D. He has contributed many

things to math and affected math very much, and his

methods are still used today. Three Contributions 1) He contributed a lot with the Geometric theory of

the planets, sun, and moon.


2) Did advanced study of Trigonometry.


3) He created the Ptolemy World Map. Astronomy Claudius Ptolemy used the Almagest, which was a

book that contained many geocentric models that

has been accepted for more than twelve hundred

years. He later translated it to Greek, to predict the

apparent motions of stars, planets and more. Ptolemy World Map Ptolemy also created the Ptolemy world map, which

was based on his book Geographia. It was the map of

the known world to Hellenestic Society in the 2nd

century. It showed Asia and Europe, also, the most

significant thing is that it was the first map that used
