There are 5 major processes that are involved in the wool production.
1-shearing
2-scouring
3-grading
4-dyeing
5-drying

shearing.
-The process of removal of the fleece from an animal is called shearing.

-It is done with a manual razor and blade.

-sheep are usually shorn annually in the spring or summer seasons.

-It does not hurt the sheep it helps them to remove the heavy woollen coat that they do not require in summer.

scouring
-The process of removing dirt,dust,and grease from the sheared hair is called scouring.
-The sheared hair is washed.
-This is done with the help of machines.
Grading
-In this process, the wool is sorted in different categories depending on
the length,texture,and the ease of dyeing,and the colour of the wool.
drying
-In this process containers of the wool are put through rollers to squeeze out as much as water as possible.
-Then the wool is weighted and packed into bales.
-The bales are transported to the mills , here they are further processed.
DYEING
As the natural colour of the flees is white, brown, or black.
The sheared wool is dyed to different colours.

In earlier days, the workers who made the wool were often infected by bacteria which caused a fatal disease called 'anthrax'.
-Its also called as sorter's disease.
-It was caused by bacteria in the wool,of contaminated sheep.
-It goes in the human body through inhaled air.
-Nowadays, its rare as the people are given vaccines for prevention
