What is a Career Coach?
A Career Coach is someone who helps others set career goals. He/she offers encouragement and advice to help you reach your goals.
Career Coaches are BRCC employees and can help you transition to community college, the workforce, or a four-year college or university.
What can a Career Coach do for you?
A Career Coach can help you define your goals, explore how to reach them, and identify potential barriers and how to overcome them. Services include:
Resume Building & Interviewing
College Search Strategies
College Application Assistance
What can you do now to prepare for your future?
Work hard! Take your classes seriously and do your best! Employers and colleges really do consider your academic record.
Determine what type of post-secondary training you will need for your career.
Research admissions requirements for your intended training program.
Write down your goals and talk with your parents about them.
Take advantage of resources offered to you.
