the book is much more detailed helping the reader understand and endure Arons better, the movie leaves alot of the small details out still being able to get the moral of the story but not quit as well as the book.
Between a rock and a hard place
Switching between the current problem that Aron is in and then taking us back to his childhood to give the reader backround knowledge on how he gets himself in these situations. Giving us another level of fimiliarity to the reader helping us understand more.

Much like the book. starting off in current time until Aron gets his arm trapped. Where he has time to think and remember his past and childhood leading up to these current moments where he is trapped. giving the reader and better understanding abut Aron
