99% of people are trying to do the right thing 99% of the time
Know yourself, your values, your beliefs as an educator. Know what it looks like / sounds like when these are applied.
Boil it down to the essentials. Find the things no one can argue with and build on these to create shared beliefs, shared ownership and shared investment.
Give others the same benefit of the doubt that you expect to be given.
Reverse Triage. Start where there is a spark and help it grow. Then use the spark to spread the fire.
Find something that gives you as much energy as your job does.
Study leaders outside education. Find a guru or two. Visit other schools.
