POLAR BEAR ADAPTAIONS http://youtube/OwZH_aT0FGI Adaptation-
a change in an animal's physical structure of behavior that helps an organism survive in it enviroment. A Polar Bear's habitat-
Polar Bears usually inhabit in cold, icy, sea enviroments. They tend to build dens in the snow and sleep there. A tundra would be their kind of place. They have the right adaptations to live there. During the day they like ot be in the water in order to catch their food for the day. Adaptation #1-
Polar bears have sharp pointy teeth so that they are able to chew up the prey they catch in the sea which is mostly seals and fish. If they want to eat that then they have to have good teeth to chew it up. This is also a way of self defense. Adaptaion #2-
They have white fur so that they are able to camouflauge with the snow around them. In that way they will be hard to find if someone is hunting them. This is away of defending themselves. Adaptaion #3-
They also have lots of fur which keeps them warm in the icy cold habitat they live in. The strands of hair are hollow so they will not let heat out and put heat in. Adaptation #4-
This great bears also have a thick layer of fat under their thick fur called blubber. This fat helps keep them warm when they are swiming in the freezing cold water of the sea where they hunt their food they need to survive. Adaptation #5-
They have a POWERFUL sense of smell. They can sell their prey through thick layers of ice which they need food to survive. This awesome sense of smell is the key factor to their lives.
