The scope and limitation of the study
This research only discusses the slang words used in 50 cent’s songs’ lyrics that are consisting of the meaning, the type of form, and the kind of slang of the songs In My Hood, This is 50, I’m Supposed To Die Tonight, Gatman and Robbin’, Candy Shop, A Baltimore Love Thing, Just A Lil Bit, Gunz Come Out, Position of Power, So Amazing. The researcher will not discuss about the difference of using slang between race, gender and even the structure of English grammar of black people.

The Standard English isn't being only used anymore. In fact, it was replaced with a new form of language that is called "Slang". people started using it to communication to avoid longer conversation including in chatting. Afnan said that almost 20% of people used slang don't understand the meaning even the native speaker. Moreover, the Western culture influence Asian culture more than before either movies, series, or music. Of course, about the foreigners who learning English as a second language don't understand that much. Thus, it leads to the reasons that why chose it be the topic.
