A learner who has a thorough understanding of the information will have the ability to put the information into their own words.
With programs and websites such as Microsoft, teAchnology and Edublogs, students can demonstrate their ability to summarize, explain and write journals individually or with others.
Learners show their comprehension of a topic and their ability to analyze the information through comparing and contrasting, categorizing, and other similar skills.
Sites such as Edutopia, Popplet and iCardSort provide ways for the students to show how the data relates to other topics.

With creation at the tip of the Bloom's Taxonomy pyramid, learners are organizing, arranging, and preparing all of their knowledge to synthesize and compose this information into a final product. This is the most difficult challenge and the true sign that learning has taken place.

Web 2.0 applications such as Wikispaces, Blogger, Voice Thread, and Second Life play a role in assisting students in achieving this final goal. Students utilize these online tools to collaborate and create their final product.

What is Bloom's Taxonomy?
Bloom’s Taxonomy is a framework, created in 1956 by educational psychologist Benjamin Bloom, used for categorizing six levels of cognition. It is a classification of learning objectives that focuses on promoting higher levels of thinking in education (Clark, 2013). The framework begins with a lower order of thinking skills (LOTS) such as remembering and understanding and progresses to a higher order of thinking skills (HOTS) such as applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating (Education Reform, 2014).

Educators can create an innovative and interactive learning environment by simply combining Bloom's Taxonomy with the plethora of available 21st century technologies. Integrating technology into the classroom will enhance learning on many levels by engaging learners, assisting educators in planning individualized instruction and authentic assessments that are aligned with the overall learning objectives and curriculum, and offers educators and learners many more benefits.
