If you were a Clinical Geneticist then your work environment would be a clinic or hospital.
You would be providing advice, assistance, and consultation to patients with concerns about genetic issues.
You would usually meet patients who are referred.
You could specialize in a specific part of it, or perform it in a range of areas. Education and Training Required
You must be a licensed doctor.
For that, you must complete four years of undergraduate school and 3-4 years of medical school.
After that you must complete a residency program at a teaching hospital, depending on your specialization, 2-6 years.

As a whole, the range for a geneticists salary is $66,000, in the U.S, the mean taken from those of around 32,000 geneticists.
Clinical geneticists working for colleges or universities have the widest range of salaries with incomes that generally fall anywhere between $78,600 and $162,800.
Your salary range relies a great deal on the amount of experience you have obtained, which field of genetics you are specializing in, and the gender that you are.
In June of 2010, men working in the field have a reported salary range of $76,300 to $111,000, while women report generally earning between $60,000 and $90,000.
People who have the minimum amount of training and education required, reported to have a range of $61,000 to $120,800, but those who have the longer training, raposted to have a salary range of $68,800 to $115,000. What is it?

This is a good career choice for someone if they like to be able to help people.If you want to know the information the research has discovered, not do the research yourself, but share it with others to help them, then this is a good career choice for you.
