Transcript of PlayStation series

PlayStation 3 PlayStation Network PlayStation 3 games The PlayStation Network, known by all it's users as PSN, is a worldwide online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service run by Sony Computer Entertainment for use with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable video game console(PSP). PlayStation games were planned for release on the Blu-Ray disc, which is a kind of disk used for high-quality video images and audio. There are currently 606 (exclusive: 115; multi-platform: 482; console exclusive: 9; trophy support: 385) games available for the PlayStation 3 system. "Trophies" are an accomplishment tracking system, introduced in the PlayStation 3 system software 2.40 update in July 2008. The four different types of trophies; bronze, silver, gold and platinum are awarded to players for making specific accomplishments (e.g. Completing a level or defeating a certain number of enemies) or reaching certain milestones in games.
Trophies Commercials Commercials Many game commertials for the PlayStation 3 are usually related to the story of the game (if there is any), or they include some gameplay to show what the game is like. Mostly, they do both. Online shop In the PlayStation Network, you can buy full games, add-ons, movies and special content you can't get anywhere else. Some of the commercials are made to be funny. Others, epic. Examples: RPG's (Role Playing games) War Games SONY Creative games PSP
(PlayStation Portable) Unfortunately, Trophies are disabled for the PSP system. Not much is known why, but it's thought that it's because the PSP doesn't have enough memory for save of games and other files together. Little Big Planet Linger in Shadows PSP Go PSP 3000 The PSP Go features Bluetooth functionality, a smaller 3.8 inch screen and weighs 43% less than the original PSP. Instead of the UMD drive as found on previous models, the PSP Go has 16 GB of internal flash memory and Memory Stick Micro port that accepts cards up to 16 GB as opposed to Memory Stick Duo. Currently the PSP Go has a max memory of 32 GB but the M2 memory can be increased in firmware updates. Games must be downloaded from PlayStation Store. The sliding mechanism on the screen hides the main face buttons and the analogue nub when not in use. In comparison to the PSP-2000, the PSP-3000 has an improved LCD screen with an increased color range, five times the contrast ratio, half the pixel response time to reduce ghosting and blurring effects, a new sub-pixel structure, a microphone, a new disc tray design, new button designs and logos, and anti-reflective technology to improve outdoor playability. It can also output all games by component or composite using the video out cable. FPS's
