The Physics Of Rugby Force When tackeling or being tackled force plays a big role in rugby. Since force equals mass times acceleration, If you are running fast and you are pretty big you will have more force than someone who is eaither running slow or is small. Work Rate/ Thermodynamics The second law of thermodynamics states that as energy decreases entropy increases. The game of rugby is all about organization and there is no room for disorder or entropy. When a rugby team is disorganized the players willnot be able to work together and when a team isnt working together they will not be able to score or stop the other team from scoring. Trajectory Trajectory is used when throwing or kicking the ball. When passing a player has to know how hard and at what angle to throw the ball to be sure it is going to get to the recieving player.
