History of Flight By: Samantha Charles Lindbergh This is a replica of what he flew. In 1927, Charles Lindbergh flew solo non-stop from New York to Paris. He was awarded the French Legion of Honor, the American Congressional Medal of Honor, and a German medal of honor for his achievments.
