Transcript of Marr Poetry

Marr Poetry I am 14 years old. One of my hobbies are playing sports. Mostly its baseball, basketball, and football. Another is skateboarding. I have an addiction of listinig to music, a little bit of rap but mostly rock. I love to Spend time with my Family and friends. School is fun well the work isn't. But its my first year in high school and I like meeting new people. Marr Poetry Tailor Parker, USA

Basketball
Basketball is a way of life.
Eat, sleep, breath, basketball.
Go out there, play your very hardest.
Play harder next time.
We are untouchable, immortal-- high above the clouds.
As long as we give it our all nothing can go wrong.
Moving in ways we didn't know we could, straining to reach the net just out of our grasp.
As we play we are in our own little world, invincible, untouchable.
Nothing can bring us down.
We command the court; everything is as we want it to be.
Yearning to make the basket, just to get ahead.
SWISH!
Gotta play.
Gotta win.

SUMMER TIME

Waking up so early today
Realizing it's the beginning of a new day
Ran quickly to the window to see
A happy world in front of me

Birds singing all the way
Pronouncing the beginning of a new day
Young birds trying to fly
Just to stick to the window & say "Hi"

Tall trees shadowing the ground
Where children play & dance around
I could feel the joy in everyone's soul
I could hear many voices coming from the hall

I walked through the hall reaching the other room
I looked from the balcony to watch the flowers bloom
I could see the beach far away
And Happy tourists enjoying their stay

Rays of the sun leaving its reflection on the sea
And other glowing rays fell on me
Blue skies lying high above
Wind spreading happiness and love

I kept questioning why nature was so bright ?
Why everything seemed perfectly right?
And why this poem could rhyme?
Then I realized that it's.... SUMMER TIME

SKATEBOARDING
Skateboarding separates me
From this world of rules and limitations
While trying a trick I feel disconnected
For the few seconds that feel like minutes
Full of concentration I hear nothing
Or see nothing but the board under my feet
Perception it altered to my settings
This is my world now
I can do anything I want and no one can take this from me
This feeling of separation from the world is what
Keeps me motivated to skate day after day
Even though frustration and injuries often come
Pain and anger are a small price to pay
TRUE FRIENDSHIP
True friends are for life
until the end
they’re more than special
they’re your bentest friends.

They're the ones you can go to
when you're in despair
the ones that'll help you
Even when you got gum in your hair!

They're the ones who'll laugh
And go laughing with you all through the night
The ones who'll help you
Help you with all their might

To have a good friend
You have to be one
So be nice to one another
So you can be friends forever
And that\'s how to be the best friend you can be.

ADDICTION
Wake up and it is on my mind.
Filling every crevice of my brain,
it lingers throughout my thoughts.
To no one else does it belong, its mine.
It calls to me daily,
and daily I submit.
In my head battles being fought
as I try to purge myself of the habit,
more like an urge.
But it’s so overwhelming it causes me
to break down in defeat.
My flesh and its worldly desires,
once again meet.
This is MY Addiction

SCHOOL

SCHOOL can bring you friends
school can bring you enemies
school can bring you joy
school can bring you sadness
school teaches you reading
school teaches you math
school teaches you about life
school is like a place to learn
when you get detention it's like prison

To A Friend..

He that is unique
He that is one of a kind
He that is perfect
He type of friend who is hard to find
He that is sweet
He that is perpetually fair
He that you know
Will always be there
He with an amazing spirit
He with a striking heart
He that is trustworthy
He that is smart
He that assuages your pain
He that can dry your tears
He with unrestricted love
He that can alleviate your fears
He with an exquisite smile
That could never be ignored
He that’s never been hurtful
He that is easily adored
He that is respectful
He who is loved by all
He that is relied upon
He to never let fall
He you can talk to
Him compassion is known by a glistening glow
Just by sparking him remarkable light
The whole world will know
What a great and amazing person he is
A friend I shall never forget
"He is the greatest ever been known",
Best of all the friends I’ve ever met…

skate boarding

I ollie to the
Kickflip with my
Board, trucks, &
Wheels, the tricks
Are the element
My board I have
To ride, smoothly
I steady, I kick
Faster & faster
I bail & fall now.
It is a disaster.
I am no longer
The master.

Football is a game played
Football the Noble? Game!

By a double set of fools
It’s taught to us whilst growing up
Weekly in our schools
We learn to defend without
Chasing the ball in theory
But on the pitch a different tale
As we all start geting weary
We try to kick everything
That moves above grass height
And every tackle that you make
Is with all your power and might
So a lot to be said for this football thing
As you try as hard as you can
Before the scouts come watching you
Saying your football future’s down the pan! Scottie Marr Simile Tone Apostrophe My favorite poet is David Harris. He has over a thousand poems out circlalating around the world. He is one of the Poets with the most poems in the U.S.A. In one of his new poems A Clown, it said''I must have been born with a funny bone somewhere''. Its reffering to a clown trying to make people laugh.I like his poems, because there funny, mysterious, and orginial.
Not here Keep going Rhyeme Scheme Laughing Song by William Blake

When the green woods laugh with the voice of joy,
And the dimpling stream runs laughing by;
When the air does laugh with our merry wit,
And the green hill laughs with the noise of it;
Personification Metophor Y ryjsa5yj Skillet, Monster

The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it

It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls
It comes awake and I can't control it
Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head
Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster

My secret side I keep hid under lock and key
I keep it caged but I can't control it
'Cause if I let him out he'll tear me up, break me down
Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster

It's hiding in the dark, it's teeth are razor sharp
There's no escape for me, it wants my soul, it wants my heart
No one can hear me scream, maybe it's just a dream
Maybe it's inside of me, stop this monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I've gotta lose control, he something radical
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
