Hi, My name is Nikola Tesla. I was born on July 10th, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. You might know me because of my work on the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply system. I've been inventing things since I was a child. I have up to 10 inventions in my name. I died on January 7, 1943 from Coronary Thrombosis.

Nikola Tesla: The Innovative Scientist and Author.
I think people would have said Nikola Tesla was a good scientist and inventor and that his ideas changed the world drastically.

" I do not think that you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men."

" Modern science says: 'The sun is the past, the earth is the present, the moon is the future.' From an incandescent mass we have originated, and into a frozen mass we shall turn. Merciless is the law of nature, and rapidly and irresistibly we are drawn to our doom. Nikola Tesla"

" Electrical science has revealed to us the true nature of light, has provided us with innumerable appliances and instruments of precision, and has thereby vastly added to the exactness of our knowledge."

" Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality."

I've lived in 9 places my whole lifetime. Places I've lived at: Colorado Springs,Smiljan,Paris, Graz,Budapest, Prague,Karlovac, Austrian Empire, and Lower Manhattan.
I am an inventor, scientist, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist.I went to Graz University of Technology.
As a child, I was very smart. I could do integral calculus easily and I would have futuristic visions. One day I imagined that I would capture energy with a water wheel and I actually got to do exactly that.At first my father used to pressure me into joining priesthood. But I didn't. Now, I'm proud that I didn't join priesthood because I followed through with what I wanted and I made a change in the world. I have accomplished a lot during my time like inventing the Alternative Current, the Tesla coil and more and winning 3 awards ( IEEE Edison Medal, John Scott Legacy Medal and Premium, and Elliott Cresson Medal).
