Transcript of Social Worker

What is a Social Worker
Social workers help individuals, families, and groups restore or enhance their capacity for social functioning, and work to create societal conditions that support communities in need. Social workers help people of all backgrounds address their own needs through psychosocial services and advocacy.
I decided to pursue in the field of social work because I discovered that I had the passion and need to help people. I had this feeling because I heard the phrase “change starts with one person.” But even though there has been many people who were able to have an impact on the world. I felt like that one person was me. I felt like I would be the one person to change the world and I would comfort those in need. Just because I never walked in their shoes before that doesn't mean I can't change their life.
