Humid Subtropical areas usually experience strong storms such as tornadoes and hurricanes.
Due to the climate in Humid Subtropical regions, many people adapt or build shelters to include solar panels. In some areas, people build solar panels on schools, homes, and other buildings.
Solar Panels are becoming even more popular because they save people money and decrease carbon footprints.
The impact of these storms can be devastating for many people around the world.

Coldest: temperatures can become approximately 0°C

"The long growing season, ample precipitation, and the substantial use of fertilizers and other additives necessary for high, sustained crop yields makes this region an important agricultural area. Rapid tree growth supports the pulp, plywood, and lumbering industries. Specialty crops such as tobacco, cotton, sugarcane, citrus fruits, and rice are also grown" ("Climatic Regions").

The Humid Subtropical has a moist climate with precipitation throughout the year, but summer months are the wettest.
Annual precipitation totals average about 100 cm, but vary from 75 to over 200 cm.
The temperature range is fairly small, but...
Summer temperatures = hot with high humidity (20-30 degrees Celsius)
Winter temperatures = mild and comfortable with average temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius
Just as a comparison, Vancouver gets approximately 125-150cm of annual precipitation.
