Foreshadowing- "... a shroud enveloped her form, and I saw the grave-worms crawling in the folds of flannel."
Symbolism-The picture of Caroline Frankenstein. This represents sadness, mystery, and death.
Irony- Victor thinks that the monster killed William because he is his brother and that Justine is taking the heat.
The theme of these two chapters, it takes two. This theme best fit chapters as it takes two to help some one get out of being in such a dark place. Throughout Victor's illness, Henry became very loyal and supportive towards Victor. He nurses Victor back to health with his compassion, kindness, and generosity towards Victor. Another reason 'it takes two' fits the chapter is the way Elizabeth encouraged Victor to write to his family in Geneva as she was worried, with hopes to help not only Victor but the Frankentstein family as a whole.
Chapter 6

* Victor cannot argue for Justine because people would think he had gone insane if he started telling people his living monster creation had killed his youngest brother
