Did childhood behavior affect him?

No, but he is a pretty messed up guy

Daniel Camargo Barbosa

Suspects

By Mason Benge

Was he found capable of withstanding a trial?

Yes

Which parts of the investigation/trial would I change?

As far as the investigation goes I think it was properly executed. However, I would’ve given him a much longer sentence than what he received. Say something on the lines of for life?

SENTENCE/CHARGES

Charged with rape and murder

Sentenced to 30 years in prison. However this was later reduced to 25 years

With their being so many deaths the

police originally thought that these

crimes were the work of some gang.

To them it just seemed unlikely for

one man to be responsible for the

amount of murders being commited.

Would the outcome have been different if they had modern forensic technology?

In my opinion it is possible that searching for his finger print might’ve been a much smoother process. However, since they were able to solve this crime by just spotting his odd behavior near the crime scene then just taking him back for some intense interrogation which ended up in him confessing to all of his crimes. So I’d say they did a fine job without it

Is he still alive?

No he was murdered in 1994 after a later arrest in the prison by the cousin of one of his many victims 5 years into his sentence after a later arrest in 1989
