- makes it illegal to discriminate against the deaf and hard of hearing people, and requires employers to make reasonable accommodation for any disabled employees

- auxiliary aids and services must be provided

- right to effective communication

(ADA) 1990

Although, the ADA made a huge impact on the wheelchair dependent, it also requires greater communications, education, and employment opportunities for the Deaf.
