Cons of reducing the voting age:

People stereotype teens as:

  • moody
  • self-centered
  • lazy
  • immature
  • etc.

But it's proven that teens are only like this because of the changes in their brain. However, because of these changes, teens start to realize that tier growing up

In 2007 Austria is the first country to lower it's voting age to 16.

In the ballot you filled out, you were voting and making a stand just for your own.

We as young adults should have the right to speak up.

Be it enacted, the act of abating the voting age of 16 should be passed. We have rights as United States citizens to be heard.

  • Because our brains are still growing , teens have capability of making well-rounded decisions if given the chance.

  • Plus, it's a better practice to start off at these early ages of 16-17 yrs. of age.

Facts

If 16 yr. old's are allowed to file taxes and are charged as an adult, then they should be able to vote.

We as young adults should have the opportunity to make a difference in our nation.

  • 6. By the next or following years that goes by we believe it should be passed for the other election days that are coming up.

Teachers and Counselors are able to guide those of age 16 to vote.

This privilege can benefit the young mind by introducing them into the political and leadership role of government.
