As we can see comparatively with another region Kyzylorda region is more-less self suffiecent region in economic sphere. Has its own priorities in economic development, and of course has pros&cons, as ex: the migration of population, bad development of SME, low incomes, but nevertheles this is very perspective region, which also supports the economy of the country.

In the current year crops of crops are placed on the area of 159,9 thousand hectares.

grain crops – 79,8 thousand hectares, fodder – 55,6 thousand hectares, potatoes, vegetables, melon – 22,6 thousand hectares, olive – 1,9 thousand hectares.

Animal husbandry

265,7 thousand heads, sheep and goats of 817,0 thousand heads, horses – 83,3 thousand heads, camels – 37,1 thousand heads, pigs – 3,9 thousand heads, a bird – 118,3 thousand heads.

Specialization of economy of the region

From the date of development of oil and gas fields of Southern Turgai of a hollow the oil companies of the oblast JSC Petro Kazakhstan Kumkol Resources, JSC Turgai Petroleum, JV KazGerMunai LLP and others extracted about 133 million tons of oil and more than 12 million m3 of gas.

In branch of non-primary sector productions on production of the iodated food salt, polyethylene pipes and ferro-concrete products stably work. Construction of glass, oil refining, cement and limy plants, mining and processing integrated works, an integrated poultry farm etc. is in the long term planned.

On February 2014 the consumer price index in Kyzylorda Region was 104.5% compared to February 2013 as per Kazakhstan Statistics Agency’s official figures. Food prices increased for 4.0% and non-food items for 6.9%, public commercial services - for 2.9%.

As of 01.03.2014 the total amount of deposits in comparison with the similar day of 2013 increased for 35.3% to 59 697.3 million KZT. Deposits of legal entities have increased for 71.8% to 23 464.8 million KZT, individuals – increased for 18.9% to 36 232.5 million KZT.

Credit market

Total credit by banks to the economy of the region as of 01.03.2014 increased for 28.3% and made up 125 124.3 million KZT.

The amount of loans in national currency increased for 29.1% to 123 056.0 million KZT, in foreign currency decreased to 7.8% to 2 068.3 million KZT. The share of loans in Tenge increased from 97.7% till 98.3%.

The Kyzylorda oblast is the agrarian-industrial region. The oblast has considerable economic potential and natural resources. The oil and gas sphere, the uranium industry and the building industry is developing. Earlier if as a whole in GRP the industrial share made only 3 %, now – 49,4 %. Traditionally the oblast is in the lead in a rice growing – the region makes 90 % of made rice in the republic.

The Kyzylorda oblysy is located in the southern part of the republic, the general extent of borders of area makes 2 285 km.

The oblys center – Kyzylorda city, one of the most ancient in the republic, to which more than 190 years. The distance between the most northern and southern sites on a straight line makes more than 1000 km.

The geographical position, natural and resource, production and scientific and technical potential of the oblast provide logistic needs for the southern part of our country.

With participation of the Government construction of the transport highway «Western Europe – the Western China» which covers all 7 regions of the oblast and the Kyzylorda city is conducted. Extent of the route (in the oblast territory) 812 km, project cost in the territory of the oblast is 184 billion tenge.
