Indian Independence

To conclude my question, I have found that without such political, inspirational open-minded people, our world be completely unjust and unfair. If open minded people hadn't fought for equal human rights, half of the people in this room would not be here today. The examples I have shown in this presentation highlights only a few heroic people throughout history, who have all changed the world for better, by having courage, determination and a open mind.

Winston Churchill

Without a great leader, we may not have won the second-world war. Winston Churchill had to be open-minded when commanding british troops on the battle fields. When tack ticks failed and there seemed to be no way of winning such an important battle, Churchill had to look at the situation from different perspectives and try new ways of dealing with the enemy. By winning with an open mind, he stopped what we see as evil, rasicst and terrorizing actions from the allie incurring.

On December 5th 1962 Mandela was captured by police, for multiple activist offenses. Mandela was found guilty of conspiracy to overthrow the state and was sentenced to life imprisonment for a minimum of twenty-seven years. However, only twenty years on, due to other global current affairs, the South African president at the time, Frederik Willem de Klerk decided that it was a violation of Mandela human rights and so released him. Many years later, after more lawful protests and Mandela becoming a politician, he was voted President Of South Africa. He has been a hero and amazing person in trying to ensure everybody has equal rights. He used an open-mind when campaigning he tried new ways of getting important messages across when others failed.

Apartheid

Between 1994 and 1998 in South Africa, black peoples human rights and laws were different and unfair from white peoples way of living. Most black people learned to accept it but it took two passionate campaigners to fight for equal human rights:
