- The factor of temperature is: 15-25 degrees N&S latitude which is the location, and it is located high which makes it cold.
- The factors of precipitation: there are many mountains in the highland climates, so permanent snow collects and falls on the top of the mountains and the areas around it, such as the Himalayas.
- Not many people live there because it is too high up on the mountains, but when it is too cold, there are still activities to do.
- If people live there, they normally participate in indoor activites. However, there is skiing, mountain climbing, snow boarding up in the mountain areas.
