The Flag

- the two blue strips symbolize the two oceans that border Central America; the Atlantic and the Pacific

- the innermost, white stripe represents peace

- in the core of the flag is El Salvador coat of arms

- the words encompassing the coat are República de la Salvador en la América Central, they translate in english as Republic of El Salvador in Central America.

- the five overlapping volcanoes represent the five states of the United Provinces of Central America

Music

- Roman Catholicism greatly impacted the history and the music of this country

- modern music includes hip-hop, cumbia, salsa, and reggaeton

- Pipil and Maya happen to be all the rave and it is based on flutes, rattles, and drums

- in general El Salvador's music is rooted on guitars, gourds, flutes, drums, and scrapers

Currency

- in the 1830s when El Salvador gained their independence, it casually used the macaco as its currency.

- in 1883 it adopted the peso as the official currency

- later in the year of 1892, the peso was replaced by the colon. Which was named in honor of Christopher Columbus

- on the first of January in 2001 the U.S. dollar was introduced as the official currency, it has remained the currency ever since

- El Salvador's capital is San Salvador, its approximate geographic coordinates are 13.42 N and 89.12 W.

Population

- is population relative large in size compared to the area of which it is held in

- proud belongers of this country are known as Salvadorans

- the people occupy the small country communicate using the official language of Spanish and Nawat which is commonly spoken by the Natives

- as a result of the outbreak of the Zika virus, the growth of population has become increasingly slow

-the small country of El Salvador is located in Central America between Guatemala and Honduras.

- it borders the North Pacific Ocean, its continues to have a relatively tropical climate year round

-it is also the smallest Central American country with a whopping population of 6,156,670 that densely encompasses the capital the of San Salvador

Climate

- during the month of May, the rainy season commences, and ends in October

-in November the dry season begins and ends in April

- it is the only Central American country that lacks a coastline on the Caribbean Sea, yet it is still able to maintain it's atmosphere
