The Great Egyptian God Geb

Gebs Role

*Geb had control over the Egyptian tombs buried in the earth.

*Geb's role was to assist in weighting the hearts of the dead in the Halls of Ma'at. The dead were given powerful words of magic that guided them in their journey to the sky and the afterlife.

*Those with weighted down hearts would be trapped in the earth by Geb.

Temples:

*There is a temple made out of stone columns. There were large gates that opened to the Great Hall. The rooms were lit by candles. The priests found the chapel in the shrine which contained the Naos. The shrine contained a statue of Geb.

*Geb however never had any temples dedicated to his name because he was less important then his wife and sister Nut, and was valued less by the Ancient Egyptians.
