military

this trip will help bulid team cohesion and overall fitness and skill of the soldiers

im going to use the armies trip up the west ridge of mount everest they took 21 personell up the mountain

they did this to test planning skills and team skills which would have been hard as its the roughest mountain to climb and they would have to be in top condition to survive the trip

the army say that only 15 people have climbed the west ridge

factors they would have to consider is the health of the people going on thtrip and their wages as they are paid soldiers

corporate

comparance

for this i have used outward bound which is a cntre which takes people on outdoor adventures

factors that must be considered are the weather and any safety risks that could harm anyone and sticking to the paths and not destroy anything

the expedtitions are comparible in the way that they cost money in some cappacity they dont cost the same but these trips will be expensive as a few of them are dangers the rowing and the everst expedtions they are marginally long for 2 of them the rowing and the everst climb but the 5 day challenge and the outword bound only lasted no longer a week but the rowing the outword bound and the everest climb can be used for team building and skills practice

this centre is based in the lake district whic is a popular place for people to go on expeditions as there are mountains and walks that you can go on

companies can use this for their own employers for team building tasks and build stronger bonds and make sure that they work well together

corporate expedtition is an trip that is payed for by a company and its employess take the customers to places where the company is based in

group expedition

individual

contrast

for this example i have decided to use the coxless crew as they had a long and tiring journey

all together they rowed 8,446 miles and spent 257 on the getting to australia

it took john 5 days to get from France to London he cycled through pairs rowed the English channel and ran to Trafalgar square where the challenge finished

i have chosen to talk about john bishop as my example

things to consider food and equipment for the jouney as they would be on the ocean for three months per stop

they rowed the pacific ocean in 9 months from san francisco to australia

the difference in these expeditions are the danger levels increase after one another they are all different challenges running, rowing, climbing, cyclling, hiking, they will be different torain the rowing will be wet and cold the 5 day challenge will be hot wet wingdy and cold the everest climb will be freezing wet and windy and the outword bound exped will be wet sunny cold and windy

they broke two records doing this first all female crew to row across the pacific and the first team of four to complete the trek

they did this for two charitites walking with the wounded and breast cancer care

john undertook many challenges which were rowing cycling and running

there were many factors that were taken there was training and equipment and the participants health as he wouldn't have much sleep

safety risks

when going on an expedition you will need to know whats safe and whats not and will need to put plans in place so that if something happens to you of your crew you have a solution in place ready and waiting

weather you will need to pre check the weather forecast especially if you going up a mountain where it is slppy and has damgerous torain

this challenge was sponsored by the BBC as it was for sport relief and it made a new record highest amount of money raised for the sport relief by any person he raised 4.2 million pounds
