The storage areas in the iPhone 6 are similar to the vacuoles in a plant cell. The vacuole for the iPhone 6 is ICloud. They both hold certain amounts of information and resources in the iPhone 6 until it get deleted (photos, videos, history etc). The similarities are they both hold and they temporarily store things. They both store waste so they dont eliminate other parts of the structure.

The Cytoplasm can be compared to the home screen because they both keep the organelles and apps secure.They also make sure nothing would fall apart. Without the Cytoplasm or home screen you could not use either because your life supporting materials is gone.

Cytoplasm: A jelly like substance containing organelles, water, and other life supporting materials.

Vacuole: the organelle that stores substances and water *Bigger in plant cells*

Golgi Body

Golgi Body = Apple Store

Like the Golgi body, the Apple store does the same job. The Golgi body packs proteins into vesicles. The Apple store downloads the apps and gets it ready to pack it so it can ship to the home screen. The things they have in common are one, They both pack things into a delivery trucks (app download). Two, they both have to sort things into the appropriate places.

Fourth Comparison

Endoplasmic Reticulum or ER

The Endoplasmic Reticulum in a iPhone 6 is the wifi. This is where the wifi comes in (proteins) from different sources (Telus, Bell Etc). They are made up by the Apple store updating apps (Ribosomes). The common thing between the "ER" and the wifi is that they both receive transportable material. The "ER" receives protein and the phone receives

wifi.

Mitochondria

Mitochondria= Charger

I will be comparing a plant cell and a iPhone 6 as my Cell Analogy project.Organells can be found in the cell. An iPhone on the other hand has small parts that also helps the phone give directions on what it should do next. As you can see they are already similar.

First Comparison

The Mitochondria and the charger outlet and both comparable because they both are the power generators of the cell and phone.They get there energy from a external source (the charger outlet or food that we eat). Then turn it into a chemical energy or electrical energy. Then they send it out into the rest of the cell or phone.

Cell Wall = iPhone Case

Mitochondria: The energy producers in the cell.

The Cell Wall and an iPhone case are alike because they both have a tough, sturdy layer that protects and surrounds all the important parts and organelles that are inside each. They are selectively permeable because the cell and case only let in good material. For example , the cell only lets in life supporting material and the iPhone case only lets in the charger and a specific type of headphone plug.

Third Comparison

Nucleus= A8 Chip

The nucleus in the iPhone 6 is the A8 Processor chip.The A8 Processor chip is the part that controls the iPhone 6 and the things that happen to it. I chose the nucleus to be the A8 chip because thy both have similarities. One similarity is that they both have control of something. Another thing they have in common is they both store identity. The nucleus stores DNA and the A8 chip stores information about me.

Second Comparison

Cell Wall = Aluminum Casing

Nucleus: The organelle that controls all the activities in the cell.

The aluminum casing is the cell membrane in a plant cell. It would e the aluminum casing because it separates the outside world from the inside of the phone.The cell membrane also separates the outside from the inside of the cell. Another thing that the aluminum casing and the cell membrane have in common is that they both are selectively permeable. The iPhone 6 can only be charged by an specific charger so it decides on who is allowed to pass through and who can not.

Cell Wall: A tough, rigid structure that surrounds the cell membrane

Ribosome

Ribosome: assembles and manufactures proteins.

Ribosomes= Data

The Ribosomes both produce something inside of their object though each one produces something different. They are both similar because they both produce information to unlock something. For example the data is used to unlock certain commands like going on the internet.

Lysosome

Ninth Comparison

Lysosome= Delete button

You can compare the lysosome to the delete button because they both break down food particles and apps and history. What they basically do is the delete button get rids of unwanted apps and history(Breaks down old organelles and food particles). They are similar because they both get rid of unwanted materials in the cell and phone.

Lysosome: Break down food particles and worn out organelles (contain digestive enzyens.
