Allegory

As our graphy shows, Trends are trending.

This is good. Yet, nevertheless,

the destination of the trendlings

is not simple to assess.

As of now, the Uppers are upping

and the downers are droobling down

excepting on alternate Thursdays

when it works the other way round.

And there occasionally are occasions

when some Upper comes a cropper

and bottoms out at the bottom.

Then....

some Bottomer is the Topper.

Consequently, on the other hand,

I believe this can be said:

you'll be wise if you step gently

whilst you tread on your neighbor's head.

-Dr. Seuss

Mack's burp

Lord Of The Flies

It happens when Yertle wants to build his stack of turtles even higher, and it comes from the turtle at the very bottom of the stack.

The burb symbolizes rebellion, and it topples Yertle's dictatorship.

The moon

This is what makes a dictator mad. No one can control everything and reaching for things they can't control is generally what leads to a dictators defeat.

The moon symbolizes everything over which Yertle exerts no control, and this is what leads to his defeat in the end.

"There's nothing, no, NOTHING, that's higher than [him]! "

Yertles Throne

Symbolizes all of labor that's gotten Yertle to where he wants to be. Yertle never appreciates this labor.

The throne-stack can also represent Yertle's ambition, because for him the stack is never high enough and he is never satisfied.
