Cons of the point system

The transparency of the point system may cause complaint. Candidates who fall short of the requirements may accuse the system of unfair treatment, and believe that more points should have been awarded to them.

Pros of the point system

English or French Skills

Since the point system is public, immigrants are able to view the requirements in advance. This advantage helps immigrants know if they will be able to come to Canada.

Only 67 out of 100 points are needed to pass.

Resources
