The prosecution ran multiple tests determining that the DNA from the crime scene matched that of OJ Simpson, and scientists stated that "there is only one chance in a million that the matchup is wrong." The defense on the other hand argued that the evidence was contaminated, but the defense couldn't run tests on the DNA because they were "accusing the prosecution of destroying evidence by conducting unnecessary tests and depriving the defense of the opportunity to conduct its own DNA analysis."
OJ Simpson was born July 9, 1947, in San Francisco California. Simpson had a successful football carrier at USC and went on to the NFL. He quit football in 1779 to start acting. He married his second wife, Nicole Brown in 1985.
DNA Evidence in the OJ Simpson Trial played a role much smaller than it could have. Had the jury taken into proper account the full extent and value of the evidence presented, a verdict could have been reached far easier, and with far less divisive results among the American populous.
Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Lyle Goldman were stabbed to death on June 12th, 1994. The trial went on for almost three years and Simpson was found liable for the deaths on February fourth 1997. He was not found guilty but still had to pay for the damages of the crime.
