Italy's response

Luigi Facta and the king Victor Emmanuel told the army and police that they could use any force necessary to defeat the Fascist Party, but they rescinded that order because they didn't want a civil war to break out, also Itlay suffered alot because of the First World War.

Result of the March on rome

On October 28th the King summoned Mussolini. On October 29th Mussolini was sworn in as the Prime minister and all the Fascists were invited into the city.

Mussolini's Four Points

Mussolini’s four points of taking Rome:

1.Fascists all over Italy would congregate in Rome.

2.All-important public buildings and ones outside Rome (to the north) would be seized by the fascists party.

3.Mussolini would demand the resignation of the government and that a new fascist party would be allowed take over.

4.If that didn’t work armed fascists placed outside of Rome would invade Rome and seize it by force.
