In Rome, there were laws for the Plebeians and the Patricians. The laws were called The Twelve Tables.

The Twelve Tables were laws for free born men in Rome. The Twelve Tables were created when Plebeians were felt treated unfairly. Patricians could make laws. The twelve Tables were the first form of Roman Laws

In America, when a person from the House of Representatives comes up with an idea for a law, It becomes a bill and then goes around to the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches of America. If the bill makes it through without being vetoed then the bill becomes a law.
